Unfortunately, 2017 has not been a remarkable year and no film title is unanimously shared among the lists that follow. We’ve appreciated\u00a0Haneke, Kaurism\u00e4ki and Lanthimos, but not enthusiastically. You’ll find some outsiders and – praise the Lord – the great\u00a0Agn\u00e8s Varda, who gave us one the few sparkles in this misty year.<\/p>\n
