\nWe\u2019ll start at 6pm at Palazzo Ghizzoni Nasalli with \u201cConcorto e l\u2019educazione all\u2019immagine<\/strong>\u201d, the screening of\u00a0videos edited during workshops held in the high schools of Piacenza.\u00a0The festival will continue at Parco Raggio with the last two short films in competition: the Malick-style All\u00a0these creatures<\/strong>, winner of the Golden Palm in Cannes as best short film, and the Italian Magic Alps<\/strong>, based\u00a0on a true yet surreal story. Next up, Girl of Wall<\/strong>, a short film which won the people\u2019s choice award at\u00a0Concorto Film Festival in 2013 and which closes the Focus Japan. The director Yuji Harada<\/strong> will be our guest\u00a0for an interview.
\nLater on, the moment we have all been waiting for: the projection of Vampyr by Dreyer<\/strong> will be\u00a0accompanied the by live music of Paolo Spaccamonti<\/strong> (electric guitar and synthesizer) and Ramon Moro<\/strong>\u00a0(trumpet). We can\u2019t wait!
\nBut it\u2019s not over yet! In the Greenhouse at 11.45pm, don\u2019t miss the last part of Focus Japan<\/strong> (click here for\u00a0the reviews<\/a>) and at 12.30pm enjoy a few horror short films from the TO Horror Film Festival<\/strong><\/a>! Meanwhile, at\u00a011.30pm in the Boschetto, a musical collaboration between A.F.A<\/strong> (Attenzione Frequenze Anonime) and\u00a0Lago Nero<\/strong> will entertain us with a charming live jamming session!<\/p>\n

\u00abNo one knows for sure which part is a sickness and which part is just you. We learned\u00a0about all these creatures inside us<\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Tempest tries to put together the memories of his childhood, marked by his father\u2019s\u00a0mental illness. Painful reminiscences and apparently meaningless details form a\u00a0complex mosaic that talks about who we were and who we are. All these creatures\u00a0that haunt us belong to a physic as well as intellectual dimension. They are the\u00a0particles, the cells we are made of and that make \u201cus\u201d; but they are also the past\u00a0moments which contribute to mould ourselves. The short by Charles Williams, winner\u00a0of the Palme d\u2019Or award at Cannes 2018, is an existential poem about the layers\u00a0forming the inner self. Magic Alps – Andrea Brusa

Italian work of Andrea Brusa e Marco Scotuzzi, this short film originally deals with an age-old and\u00a0fiery issue that is characterizing the Italian debate: the immigration crisis. Based on a true story, we\u00a0see Giovanni Storti in the role of a refugee center\u2019s clerk who has to deal with a refugee who is\u00a0accompanied by his goat. His only mission is to reach the mountains to make the goat see the\u00a0snow again.\u00a0The collision between bureaucracy and human nature results in an extremely touching work that\u00a0makes the viewer meditate on the limits we impose upon ourselves and that go to the detriment of\u00a0the other.\u00a0In terms of technic is very simple and the strongest part is the content itself which requires us to\u00a0consider the refugee as a human being and not as number.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
