S<\/span><\/strong>eventh Shortcut round and <\/span>La Jet\u00e9e <\/span><\/i>is still haunting us, this time amongst the cinematic milestones of Greek director <\/span>Konstantinos Antonopoulos<\/b>. No, <\/span>Postcard from the end of the world<\/span><\/i><\/a> is not last year’s summary but the title of his acclaimed short film, screened at Concorto in official competition\u2026 in the midst of 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A selection unsurprisingly full of apocalyptic visions, between <\/span>mal de vivre<\/span><\/i> and dystopian realities.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1\/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][divider line_type=”Small Line” line_alignment=”default” line_thickness=”2″ divider_color=”accent-color”][vc_column_text]\"\"Konstantinos Antonopoulos <\/span><\/a>is a filmmaker based in Athens, Greece. His latest short <\/span>Postcards From The End Of The World<\/span><\/i> (2019) travelled all over the world winning awards in festivals such Aspen Shortsfest, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and Festival Regard. He studied film at Columbia University, NY, where he directed several shorts, amongst which <\/span>Without Glasses<\/span><\/i> (2009) and <\/span>Lea<\/span><\/i> (2013). Back in Athens he co-wrote the feature film <\/span>Symptom<\/span><\/i> (2015) and directed a number of documentary series for the TV and the web. In 2019 he received the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship Award. Escape from planet tar<\/span><\/i> by my good friend Luigi Campi, is by far the best psychoanalytic, sci-fi, educational documentary about a break-up ever conceived.
